Edelweiss Airline Cake to Switzerland 828 F

This cake was made for the Inaugural flight from Tampa International Airport to Switzerland. The base under the plane is all cake with buttercream frosting, fondant flowers and gel for water. Matterhorn (largest mountain in Switzerland) is made from rice cereal treats (underneath some Styrofoam is used to add height) and covered in fondant, with buttercream to look like snow. Small hills are rice cereal treats, iced with buttercream and trees are made from fondant. The whole top of the plane is rice cereal treats and decorated in fondant, the bottom is wood and Styrofoam decorated with fondant.
