Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Another mini cake made for fun/practice. I wanted to try painting with food colors and figured I'd start with something simple, like grass ;o). This is a two tier mini almond layer cake (3 inches diameter and 1.5 inches high) filled with strawberries and almond flavored swiss meringue buttercream and covered with fondant. Flowers and grass were painted with gel food colors.

I think this looks really pretty - and I bet it tastes good too!  Loving those ingredients.  This is a really good idea too for practising - I might give that a go myself!
