Close up of Victorian cake for Valentines Day drawing.

I made this cake for a Valentine Cake giveaway drawing that I had here in my town. I just finished it and the winner picked it up a few minutes ago. It was a sour cream almond white with almond butter cream filling, and covered in fondant. I'm kind of bummed because you can't see the pearl luster edible paint in the picture. It was shimmering on all of the piping. The big red roses are royal icing, and the buds are gum paste. The Girl Valentine on top is gum paste fondant mix and is hand painted with chalks and food pastes.

I wanted to get it too, but the cost is holding me back as well.

Funny I do also. Love lacey and floral, especially roses. I love that sugarveil, but it is so expensive.

Thank you Dina. I am the biggest sucker for anything Victorian or Valentine.

Once again Linda, you leave me speechless. Love it.
