Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

This cake was a graduation cake for a Civil War geek. Very simple-as I'm not used to fondant. I started with a1/2 sheet vanilla cake with butter cream. The Hats: 6" choc. stacked on a cake board that had been cut out in the shape of a baseball cap and dirty iced, with butter cream then put to chill for 30mins then sculpted into hats and covered in fondant.The swords on the front are printed edible ink images. The flags are done in fondant also with butter cream stars . The Sign: A Hershey Choc Bar the letters butter cream.
