Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Decided to try this out. Color of the center is green but picture does not really show real color. The outer petals were done using the same size oval shaped cutter but using different thickness of gumpaste so that I could thin it out in a tear drop shape & get larger petals. Really like how it came out but takes a long time to do petal by petal and to curl each one.

Well G

That is the trouble with a lot of cake decorating techniques.... a lot aren't as hard as they are very, very time consuming!!! Our cake club leader goes to ICE's every year. There is a area where they sell pre-made flowers, and she says as soon as they open the doors, it is a madhouse. Decorators flying through the doors to purchase them.  Made in the Phillipines. There is a store in Toronto that sells them. They are beautiful, but my leader says because she is dubious of "what" they are made of, she would be afraid to put them in contact with a cake.

Tx June.  I'm really happy with how it came out.  I found this one pretty easy but very time consuming.

OMG

Goreti.... but you do have a gift.  Just gorgeous.... a show stopper!!!  You could make a pretty penny selling your gumpaste flowers!!!!  :o)
