Christening Cake for Abigail
Made for my great nieces christening. My niece requested my signature chocolate cake, no problem….but…all b/c icing, as she prefers this over fondant. Grrrrr….I don’t like working with bc unless it’s a undercoat for fondant. I don’t ice to many cakes in 100% bc, so smoothing/decorating with it is certainly not my forte. I decided on icing swirls with royal icing rosette middles. Topper is covered in fondant and figure is all gumpaste with blonde hair as Abigail is blonde. Niece didn’t want anything too religious. So I added a simple gumpaste cross. Hoping my niece will be pleased….

Thanks Sandra...gave the whole top tier to my niece as a keepsake. Who knows if it's in one piece now... :o) :o)
