Wanted something slightly different. Then came up with the idea of a flower popsicle. Little more unique than the usual "round" of flowers. Popsicle is styrofoam covered in fondant, then gumpaste flowers. Dusted in white lustre dust. Made compainion rct balls and covered in the same manner. Made for a upcoming cake.
Thanks for looking :0)

Well
If your on your own in business, I couldn't take that type of stress. But if you have co-workers/partner... Then the extra people help.

I hate last minut request though because it throws you off plan! and it happens often...its only times when those requests are made that I too feel glad that its a hobby and not full time! I would love to understand how full timers deal with the stress and crazy requests? I couldn't even eat anything until the wedding cake was collected lol

Yup

That was a last minute request. Let me tell you, I had a heck of a time getting that ring box together and hard enough to go on my cake!!!  It was SOooo humid here and it just was not drying out. It was 90% gumpaste, 10% modeling chocolate. Thankfully, it did dry....geez....stress city. Now I KNOW why I don't do this full time & it is just a hobby!!!

yes I saw that....but the customer gets what the customer wants I guess

Thanks Lynette

When you see the finished cake, you will see that the large "pop" is obscured by the ring box. Young ladies Mom wanted a ring box on the cake. That was not in the original plan. SOoooo, sadly, you don't see much of it.  :o(

Well I had these all made when the young lady decided she wanted the "ring box" on the cake, AND pink hearts. So as you saw in the finished picture, the large pop is kind of hidden by the ring. So funny... cause this girls Mom thought it was such an "Amazingly Novel" idea!!!
Ya, ok

I really like this.  It is funny that you find the usual "ring box" as boring.  I can totally relate.  I had told my niece that I would make her sweet sixteen cake and was hoping to get a chance to try something new.  Unfortunately when she showed me a cake she liked, all I can think was boring.  Nothing out of the ordinary.  Working on changing her mind. lol
