Anne, I have always been just a little intimidated by it too, but if you can pipe, then you can do it. I have always thought that the Lambeth method was about as beautiful as it gets with cake decorating, but it seemed that no one was doing it anymore. There are several on this site that have cake ideas. Just type in lambeth in the cake pictures to do a search. I am just learning myself too....I just had to get up the courage to give it a try. By no means am I very good yet, but I am practicing.

Linda, I am in awe of the lambeth method but so scared to try it.  Your cake is amazing, so very beautiful.

Thank you Tracy. Tracy, it is Tim's cakes that inspire me! I was amazed already with his decorative talents and just 'assumed' he had to be a master baker with a shop, but then became even more amazed that he is a composer, an author, a pianist and organist, and a decorator of cakes as well! (and I'll bet there are a few other talents that he has that he has not told me about) It's been his encouragement that made me think that I need to quit short changing myself and at least allow myself to try different things. None of us will ever know if we can do better if we don't try. For that, I thank Tim.

hahaha! Tim! I stink at flowers. You would not want to take a class from me, that is for sure. It takes me forever to make just one! You are being kind. I do know my limitations, and am quite aware of where I fall short, and trust me...you really really would not want to take a class from me on flowers. But you do make me smile when you say those things. I also know it is the spirit of God working through you, as you are an encourager, and that is a gift. =O)

Well, I don't agree. It is making a comeback of sorts. I think it always looks "majestic"
