That's a shame Becky.  As you say a 6" cake does not leave much room for creativity.  I think it's great - you fulfilled the brief, but sounds like you have shot yourself in the foot somewhat previously by doing more than she paid for!

She said it wasn't what she had in mind. Wanted something more footballish (????) When she ordered it, she said "just a simple small cake with Nebraska Cornhuskers theme". I can only do so much with a 6" cake. The problem is really my fault. She is a repeat customer and the other two cakes I did for her I had extra time and did more than what she paid for. This order was on a very busy week and between cakes and issues with my foot and dog, no extra time. She was disappointed.
