Again, this was a birthday cake but could be converted to a Mother's Day cake
The lilacs are assembled using small royal icing drop flowers. The daffodils and forsythias are made form gum paste. The crocuses are made from gum paste with a 5 petal cutter and them pulled together tightly. The gum paste tulip is filled with a green center and black pistols piped on spaghetti. Petal dust is added to accent the flower centers. A cake your mom would really like.

This cake is made with fondant daffodils and brown branches with the forsythia flowers.  The lilacs are made with royal icing drop flower tip.  The crocuses are made from gum paste using a 5 petal mold and then made into a tight cup.  The tulip on top is gum paste and filled with green royal icing for the centers
