@ Tracy - I saw a tutorial on youtube about making them stick.  She poked a hole in the pop with the stick and took it out again.  Then filled the hole with some icing and stuck the stick back in, held it for a mo until it set and voila!

They look lovely June - very pretty. I've tried making cake pops. They taste great, but I can't get them to stay on the sticks when they are turned the other way up lol. Fab colours :) x

These look lovely June.  I was reading all about the husbands and feel relieved to know that I am not the only one, in my case he just thinks cake decorating takes too much time and effort.  I plod on lol. Honestly, though I love the decorating part I could do with out the prep and clean up, it takes more time than the actual decorating.

Yes Goreti
SOoooo true. My hubby has been better since he retired, but honestly he NEVER cleans up after my cake making. He does however clean after dinner. He makes dinner a lot now too. So I guess it is a trade off. :0)

June, what is it with these men?  My hubby is the same.  I now try to do as much as I can before he gets home.  I really don't understand why since I'm the one doing the cleaning up.

I'm so lucky it seems!  My hubby knows what a messy cook I am and just takes it all in his stride - often clearing up for me.  He says the results are worth it, bless.

It drives my hubby NUTS Goreti. He can't stand all the flour, icing sugar etc. that flies all over the counter & floor.  You should have seen the look on his face when Sam was finished.....Yikes!!!!  Actually the day after the wedding he helped me clean up cause truly, it was like a major catastrophe had hit my kitchen.

These are adorable.  This is one thing I have never tried to make.  After hearing how messy they are too make, I think I might skip.  I'm bad enough when I make a cake.  I have yet to figure out how to use flour with spilling some and don't get me started on powdered sugar.  It is one of the reasons I decided to try Swiss Meringue Buttercream.

I have a pic of the wedding table, but it was taken right after I set up. Later there were more desserts around including Sam's cake pops. Didn't get a pic of all of that. Too bad cause there were a lot of amazing dessets displayed.
