This was my first attempt at making realistic animals. These cakes were made from fondant, rice crispy treats and of course cake. I scultped the heads of the chickens from rice crispy treats then covered them in fondant and layered on the sculpted facial features with fondant. The bodies are fondant covered cake that I hand painted to give the illusion of feathers. They are sitting on a sheet cake covered in buttercream with a few fondant details for scenery.
