buttercream contest grapes
This was a huge cake:) There are some 7 sheets 12x18x2; 2 book cakes; a 9x13 and a 9" sq. All buttercream. Some gumpaste flowers; piped grape clusters and vines; waferpaper leaves and a metal church on top.Each book has an frosting sheet picture of the family leaving the church.

Two of the church leader families were moving on to other places. This was a large church with many associate ministers; it just happened that the two announced their leaving within weeks of each other so one good bye party was held.

Congratulations on such a gianormous fete! It's beautiful...I think I would have had a nervous breakdown dealing with something this size. What was the occasion?
