If you notice Sandra, my leaves sometimes do the same thing. I think it has more to do with the tip I use too. If it looks to bad I just pinch it together to make it pointed. I have one tip that looks like this ^ (pointed at the end) make pretty good leaves.Forget to use it sometimes.
I have not tried the mums, don't yet have the tip, but when I made leaves, they stood up, but the icing broke so that the tips were two pronged instead of pointed :o( I think I have just not found the exact consistency.
Thanks Sandra... If your icing is stiff enough they stand up really well and these were also air dried not piped onto cake..
See, see, see, Betty! I am not the only one who is in love with your borders and your mums are amazing. I don't see how you get the little petals to stand up like that.
