Shirley, So nice to hear about your Lambeth classes.  Eddie Spence is an amazing artist as well.  Sound like Betty made the coursages; she use to make gum paste floral corasages and also made her daughter's bridal bouquet in gum paste; she was an extreme artist.  When I attended Betty's classes, we had to do at least 1-2 cakes in a 6 - 2 1/2 hour sessions at her shop and as you mentioned; thousands of flowers for each cake.  I did 10-12 sessions and a total of 16 cakes plus my grand final project was the three tier wedding cake like yours; it has over 2,000 flowers.  Love Lambeth:)  Thank you for sharing; I enjoye hearing from previous students of Edith's and Betty's.  My goal has been to keep the older styles alive; especially Lambeth and our great instructor's names as well.  Have a wonderful day.  I look forward to keeping in touch.  Thank you again!

Hello Shirley,  Thank you for your wonderful comments; I am sorry It took me so long to answer you back.  I have been out of town and don't check Cakes We Bake to often.  I am so happy to see someone share pictures from Edith's classes.  Betty Newman May was my instructor and very good friends with Edith Gates.  My ultimate goal is to keep piping skills alive and especially my favorite styles of all; Lambeth.  Thank you again for sharing:)
