Love the brown dots against the pink roses.  The shimmer on the roses are really a nice touch.  Such a lovely cake!

Why wouldn't they keep coming back, with such lovely, professionally finished cakes as these?

Thanks Katy...My customer base doesn't like fondant covered cakes (thank goodness),and when they don't tell me how they want it decorated I sometimes do things easy and simple. I also know what colors they like and if they like wild or crazy designs ( don't have many of those), most like simple. They must like what I do they keep coming back... :-))

Plus, I must say how lucky you are Betty, having customers that all want the traditional style birthday cake.  So many want all this fancy fondant decoration stuff!  Although I'm sure you must get bored with it sometimes............?

That's as beautiful as can be!  Tugs at my heartstrings too - my much loved bull terrier bitch was called Nancy (or Nanny Pie as she got nicknamed).  Long gone now.........
