Thank you, Shirley and Katy!  Yes, the pan worked well and I used homemade cake release for the first time, too.  Guess it is a keeper, as well :o)  I was really nervous, but the cake popped right out.

Yup...for me, I really gotta keep physically active..and strict eating habits through the week...allowing treats only on weekends. It's not easy..

Sounds scrumptious...and I love the shape of this cake...that's one cool pan!!!
