Great tips, thanks so much Betty.  That's a bit lower than I would have done it, so good to know.

Katy... This size I bake 325 for about 35 min , no syrup. I place saran over cake while warm ( after I turn it out of pan onto rack), then when cool wrap also with foil & freeze. Always nice & moist. :)

lol Betty,  I've just noticed I missed the most important word in my question!  That word being 'bake'!  How long do you 'bake' this size cake for? hahahaha!  And while I'm asking - do you brush with a sugar syrup or something as it's one layer?  Or is your sponge so moist it doesn't need it?

Thanks Goreti and Katy..11 x 15 one layer. I made the P and flowers the first of the week and decorated the cake on Friday for a early pickup on Sat morning.

ooh, this is GORGEOUS Betty.  What size is it - and how long would you something like this for?  (Planning on doing a large one soon and it's out of my comfort zone!)
