Bottom is a 12" x 4" strawberry cake, torted for 4 layers, filled with Marshmallow buttercream mixed with whipped cream & chopped strawberries. The top is a 6" x 4" strawberry cake, torted for 4 layers, filled with strawberry flavored marshmallow buttercream. All covered with vanilla almond crusting buttercream. The whimsical torrents are all fondant, with a cone as a top on one only. Flowers, grass, doors, path, etc..., are all done with fondant. Princess Sofia doll was purchased, a toy. This is another heavy one.

So sorry about the cake pops, Bonnie.  I would think it is a major accomplishment to get the castle there intact!  I would hate to try to move it!

Hi Girls!! Thanks for all the encouragement, and the nice comments! 'We' really had fun doing this one. Took my time and it all came together.

Went to Ethan's playoff flag football game this morning, got home about noon.  Decided to make cake pops with all the leftover cake, instead of eating lunch, which is way over rated, don't you think? lol  Then brought the cake up from the basement fridge for a final going over..., that thing is heavy, and found I had not made windows for all of the torrents.  That took a good 10 minutes!  Then I boxed up the cake pops, torrents, 'Sofia', and the ever important emergency repair kit! lol  Loaded that, and the cake, into the car, with my great niece in front to hold the 'cake'! lol  Took an hour to get there.  I put it all together without a hitch, then found out that the rough patch of road we road over that was being repaired, the really bumpy kind, had put a hurting on the cake pops, because they were upright in the cake pop stand, emphasis on the 'were'!.  The next time they have to travel, you can bet the sticks will be in the air!   Live, and learn...  Anyway, the cake was a success, and everyone had a good old time.  I left when it started getting dark, don't like driving at night anyway.  Had a late supper with Larry, he waited for me, ain't he sweet?!  Cleaned up the mess I had made this morning, Larry informed me that he had put lids on where needed after I left, like the piping gel! lol

( I wrote all this, plus, earlier, forgot to hit 'add comment', went to next page, etc... Just realized that it was all lost, so now I have written a shorter version) {:o)

You killed the one, Bonnie!  I love the doors and the fact that you made the tops of the towers which gives them a much more realistic look.  The garden and walk in front takes this castle cake to a whole new level!  Love it, love it, Bonnie!

Thanks Betty!!  I just put the torrents on for the pic, I removed them for transport tomorrow.  I ran the grass & path down over the edge in the front only, for effect.  Abby is my nephews daughter, she will be '1'.
