Baptism Cake Top.
Simnel fruit cake recipe - moist and rich baked with a layer of marzipan in the middle. Covered in marzipan and then 3 coats of royal icing. Still couldn't get the sides smooth, so ended up using a pattern side scraper for the sides. I was happy with the smooth top though. Blue booties in 50/50, silver cross, fondant tiny Holy Bible and 50/50 open bible. Piped cornelli lace and ruffle decoration in white royal (very hard, as requested by the Mum!).
