Oh no, that´ve very bad, after all the work you did and the expenses you went though to make it!  You should ask for 50% of the total value and the rest when you deliver it.  That is what I do with new clients so if (only if) they don´t pay at the moment of the delivery, al least you have covered your expenses.

So bad you didn´t get paid for this beautiful job!
