Every feather was individually made and got smaller as they went across the body and up the neck

Not that I would dare to try something remotely like this, but it would have taken me, a whole month...lol

A lot of the time I make it up as I go , but I have a knack of seeing it in 3D and being able to break it down in layers , I try not to stress over any problems , I just deal with it ! For this one to replace the baby I took some stuffing out of a spare pillow then stitched it back up !! I do work better under a bit of pressure but I do dive in have a go , there is usually a way round things !

Seems to me you must know exactly what you're doing and have the courage just to dive straight in and do it.  Amazing that you managed to do all this in that space of time.  Would not have wanted to be around you on Saturday morning tho'!

Hmmm let's see !
Put the board together on the Monday eve, baked on the Tuesday eve then started on the Wednesday , basically on th weds I cut and covered a 10inch sponge for the body , I used rct to build up the neck and the head and added a counter balance of icing , in yellow in one pic , for the tail end as I was to be adding quit a bit to the neck and head I didn't want it to be front heavy and come off the legs .
The Thursday I put a covering over the rct , also under the belly , then added texture to the legs and made some large feathers and put them on and gave the legs and lg feathers a bit of colour .
The rest was done on the Friday eve and sat morning .
Had a panic Sat morning , the baby that was in the parcel was too heavy and broke the beak, had cracked half the head and when I tried to put in supports through the breast that cracked too , so took the baby out and did a repair about half an hour after repairing it I delivered it and didn't move a muscle .
There simples really !!!! Xx
