Bicycle Grooms Cake

Here is our most recent cake delivered today. It is completely edible except the wire spokes and frame of the bike has wood dowels in it. The frame was assembled using wood dowels, we then formed our cake around the wood dowels, and covered in solid milk chocolate. (the cake is confetti) the wheels are carved from cake to shape then buttercream, then we poured solid chocolate ove them as well. the seat was done the same way. the covering is a mix of fondant and modeling chocolate, and unfortunately we could not get the solid chocolate to work for the spokes, so we used wire. the board is covered with chocolate shavings to look like gravel.
