Thats what happened to me. I had taken a couple of lessons when my children were small....fast forward, my niece was getting married 4 yrs ago, & I said, "I'll make the wedding cake, how hard can it be??"  That was it. I'm just a hobby baker, recently retired, so now I can have some time fiddle & practice.

I sold 3 cakes this year (2011 ), after making & giving away for 4-5 years. So I'm certainly not making a living from it....he! he!

I wish i was an artist June... To be honest i didnt even know i was capable of doing these cakes until i tried at Halloween 2010. I just made a cake for a party i was going to and its gone on from there.. x

Simple & elegant. I love those buttons. I have often wondered how they are done?  Are they a mold Debbie??
