Thanks ,I thought so,just never have time to try it,so know I know and hopefully can do a practice cake for one my sons  job crew,and make sure I have it down,I want mine to be in line like yours not crooked looking!LOL!!!!!!

Yes, piped dots and pressed with a rounded end pallet knife.

Love this cake,sides and top....Is it done with spoon or icing knife pressed into a ball of icing?See alot of folks do this texture thing, just wondering if I'm close to how it is done.If ya don't mine sharing?!
