Thank you, Bonnie, Inoka and Katy!  Bonnie, it is both luscious and scrumptious and I think Larry would love it (you probably would, too).  It is so moist and the flavor so delicate that we liked it better plain without the dulce de leche.

Yes Betty, I can smell it from here.  The apple is wafting it's way into the den.  I must hurry & shut the door, for APPLE is Larry's favorite, and he ALWASYS comes out to investigate an aroma like this! lol  Looks luscious! And scrumptious!

It sounds devine. My Mom made something similar, just dusted with icing sugar. No Dulce de Leche in my growing up years. You just can't beat a good moist pound cake. I love just plain ole pound cake, orange, apple, lemon, lemon cranberry & of course chocolate . But I think my fav is a nice slice of lemon pound cake and nice cup of tea.

Sandra - I think we all know enough about cake to just be able to taste and smell this by looking at it!  Who needs pretty, when you have this?
