These flowers is for a wedding cake in December. Trying to work ahead of time wherever possible. Anthuriums was made freehand without a veiner. Hummingbird was my first attempt to shape/ mold a bird freehand.

I think blue enough.  It looks real as it is, otherwise it might look a bit garish?

Thank you, thank you! The colors I had to work with was red, orange, yellow and blue. I initially wanted to do something with an Iris, but couldn't master that one, so I thought of a butterfly and then my son suggested a Hummingbird. I think that is blue enough...or not?

Beautiful bird Maggie.  Strange coincidence - there was a program on TV last night and there was a short piece on a rare hummingbird.  I thought to myself - like to try to do one of those and what do you know?  Maggie gets there first lol!
