plastic figurines.  the grooms foot got broken last year when he got dropped so i get to come up with interesting ways to cover that up.

lessons?  i'm had about 9 lessons, so expensive here, i'm mostly self taught

Well I certainly got married before I started decorating. Didn't take my 1st lesson until my second child was about 3 yrs. old. He is now 28!!!

Are those fondant figures, or ceramic??

we got married before i got into decorating and so in order to keep things cheap our actual cake was a slab sheet cake wiyth some shop bought chocolate shells on it and this topper.

this one's top layer is red velvet cake, i made a cake based on our honeymoon last year, next year i'll do the same probabyl do an alternate wedding cake again at some stage.

but thank you.

AHhhhh

How lovely. My cake was "fake" as well!!  All decorated styrofoam.  My Mom "convinced" me it was the "cheap" way to go. It is our 35th this year, and I was just thinking this morning that I would like a little party AND our own REAL wedding cake!!
