Inspired by the book Flower Fairies of the Autumn by Cicely Mary Barker. Cake is vanilla sponge with strawberry jam, crumbcoated in strawberry bc and covered in white fondant. Fondant has then been 'scrumbled' with autumn colours. Modelling paste fairy is holding a sprig of blackberries, from which blossoms and small blackberries have fallen. She is sitting on a fondant tree stump surrounded by the falling leaves and acorns - all made from sugarpaste and modelling paste and dusted with various autumnal colours. Plaque is made from very thin modelling paste and hand written with edible pen. Cake is sitting on a Poole Pottery Autumn Glory plate.

That's for sure - my Dad used to make bramble jelly (fruit from the garden) and it was just heavenly. On fresh bread and real butter. Aahh those were the days, before overweight and cholesterol came in.
Love it--I do remember picking them in the Azores on a trip many years ago & making jelly with them. Yum yum nothing like homemade
Thought you might like the poem to go with it -
The Song of
the Blackberry Fairy
My berries cluster black and thick
For rich and poor alike to pick.
I'll tear your dress, and cling, and tease,
And scratch your hands
and arms and knees.
I'll stain your fingers and your face
And then I'll laugh at your disgrace.
But when the bramble-jelly's made
You'll find your trouble well repaid.
Wow that was a quick pick up Goreti! Thank you so much. Those little rascals took forever.........
Good job Katy. Love the blackberries
