Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

This is a fondant alligator cake I made for a 6 year old boy. I used a sheet cake for the body and cooked two cakes in bread pans. I then shaped the cake from the breadpans and shaped the head, tail, and legs. I covered him in buttercream and fondant. I then took the extra fondant and molded the eyes and nose, sticking it on with a paintbrush dipped in water. I colored him by using a friend's cake airbrush machine, using the darker green to shadow the figure. Enjoy!
