This is a fondant covered cake with pleating on the bottom. The stenciling on the fourth cake is on the front and back while the stenciling on the second tier goes all around the cake. The third tier is concaved and the pintucking was made using a smoking roller. The top tier has a continous icing image on the side bordered by ribbon. Feathers were bundled, wired and taped and inserted in coffee straws before inserting into the cake. The gelatin bubbles were placed to conseal the straws and give a reflective appearance to the cake. The tier sizes are 8", 10", 8" concaved, 12', and 14"

I just LOVE this cake!  I can't imagine how much patience it took to do the pleating on the bottom.

I really liked this cake. The bubbles fit well, and the stenciling is very clean and beautiful. It must be nerve wracking to stencil black on white. I just love all the design element you chose to put together, from the pleating to the feathers to the bubbles. It's really different!
