This cake was for my friends' daughter's 21st birthday. The board is covered with fondant diamonds edged in red stripe. All items decorating this cake are edible! The hat is made from three, 10" two layer cake stacked and carved. I used edible gold dust mixed with extract like paint and used a sponge to make the pattern on the hat.  Her dress is made of fondant and the black lines are painted on. The ribbon is drapped fondant, The girl was made using a mold and all characters are made with a fondant and gumpaste mix. The clock was painted with the gold dust paint mixture. The blood roses were made of gumpaste and handpainted. The cake is White with Chocolate filling and white buttercream.
