Happy Birthday To Me

I wanted to try this technique I saw on Pinterest for a cake I was making for a co-worker. Since today is my birthday, I decided to make myself one too. I made the cakes in a gradiation of pinks. Unfortunately, the bottom two layers looked similar in color, but overall I was really please with the way it turned out. The top is the first time I attempted to make a hydrangea. I have lots of them in my yard, and they have fast become one of my favorite flowers, so what better flower to put on my birthday cake than a hydrangea.
