County Cake Decorating Contest 2011

My first time entering any competition in over 12 yrs :) I really had a good time with this cake. And although I battled a few obstacles, such as 98 degree temperatures, a cracked cake, the chick that didn't want to be formed, and carrying this 4 tier cake about the length of 3 football fields over rocky terrain (yeah, sounds like a pastry chef's worst nightmare, huh? lol) Somehow we were able the pull the 2nd place ribbon! And I won more than a ribbon and $75. I won a huge boost of confidence :)
