I made this for a friend of my parents, who really likes wedgwood. I found a picture of a grecian cameo online and tried to make something similar looking. Cameo & scrolls are made of gumpaste...I used the JEM elegant scroll cutter for the scrolls on the corners and 3 sides on the board. The cameo is made without a mold... I cut out the basic outline of it with an exacto knife, created the facial features with a ball tool and veining tool and the hairdo, drapes, roses etc were just made with my hands. The tiny dots around the scrolls on the corners are piped with royal icing. The cake was a rich fruit cake covered with marzipan and then fondant. TFL :)

Sheena, your work is beautiful! I have been to the Wedgwood factory in Stoke-on-Trent, England. My daughter lives nearby. Uncle Ben must have been delighted! I would have been!
