THE ACE CAFE BADGE REPLICA - 304F
The Ace Cafe is a legendary meeting place for avid motorbikers, of which I am one. This is an exact replica of their badge. The cake is chocolate sponge with a vanilla buttercream filling, covered in black and white fondant. I drew an increased scale size of the badge on plain paper, then used it as a template to hand cut all the motifs and letters, so they slotted into each other to make a flat surface - it took hours! Not the most perfect of finishes, but a bit of fun.

Too funny Shaira! Yes I was a biker for many many years and used to travel from home to London where I used to work. Had a 750cc Triumph Bonneville Royal Wedding Special. Loved it.

nice job on the letters. didn't know you were a biker. my husband let me drive his father's scooter once, i ended up hitting the wall of their garage. lol
