90th Penguin Birthday! 1130F

A Cake I made for my Granny's 90th Birthday, she has been an avid penguin collector for many many years and it was a joy to see her loving her cake :)

All my cakes are always hand made from scratch, I have yet to use a box mix in my life hehe :)

Filled with homemade strawberry jam and homemade vanilla butter icing.

Cake is carved to be more icebergy(pretty sure I have made that word up!) and the igloo is a separate cake. All figures are handmade each with their own scarf/earmuffs/hat. The snow effect is royal icing on top of the sugarpasted cake, pond is made with tinted piping gel, entire cake/snow areas are then dusted with snowflake lustre to really make it sparkle.

As you can't see him - the penguin second in from the right is making a snowball in his flippers to throw at the one on top of the igloo.
