Jeri, i don't see any flaws.  I am trying out flowers (guess you can call it a my flowery period lol), last weeknd was a sunflower cake.

The flowers on top are silk.  They had real ones from their garden for the wedding and I was afraid of bugs in sunflowers so we settled on the silk ones.

Anne, this is one of my early on fondant jobs... don't look too close you will see the ripples in the fondant.  The stems were royal icing and the flowers were all gumpaste.  Not one of my best jobs for sure!
