Ivory three tier cake with 65 deep red and ivory modelling paste roses. This is my second ever wedding cake and first three tier cake, for my brother's wedding on Saturday! (Rich Fruit bottom, Lemon Madeira middle, Chocolate Fudge top)

Thank you!! I mixed 50/50 Cyclamen coloured flowerpaste and Poppy Red Regalice to make the modelling paste (I gave up on the idea of doing proper flowerpaste roses, I'm just too inexperienced to do that many without it taking too long, was worried about running out of time before I'd done enough!) and then boosted the colour with Ruby paste colour - even starting with it quite dark I still had to use loads to get it right and had red hands for days! I ran out of the red before I'd done what I thought would be enough and had to do some in ivory but I'm quite glad I did because I think they set it off really well

It looks beautiful. for your second wedding cake ever!!!!!!!! you did a brilliant job. How did you get that deep red colour in the end?
