Hi Betty! We are having part of that north easter too here in Delaware, just north of you!  It is very wet & WINDY here, bet you are having it too!  Gusting 40-60 all around here right now.  Just hope the tide doesn't raise toooooo much, I hate water in the basement!!!

As for the drawing, actually, I can't draw worth a darn, both my mom & sister are good at it.  I followed one of the Yener's Way tutorials for this, kind of, only he did his in a chocolate transfer.

Bonnie...You've been hiding your talent.....looks great. I've had my share of "wet noodles" too. It's been raining for days here.

Thank you!!  I traced/etched it onto the fondant, then colored/filled it in.  I definitely need practice on this medium!  But I am determined to learn to paint on cakes!  So there! lol

Bonnie, I would have recognized Mike and Gwen without you mentioning their names.  You did a fabulous job on this.  You need to keep at it. I am going to try the pastillage, too.  Never seriously considered it until you talked about making curls like these and Gali mentioned that it could be carved.  Sounds fun.

If I had made them with pastillage, they would be fine, but I just used fondant, was just playing around anyway... lol
