I'm sure it was time consuming. Sorry you missed the prewedding festivities, but I'm sure your sister appreciated all your time and efforts. One more question if you don't mind, how did you keep the stripes straight? they look perfect.

Thank you so much!! Caroline, I cut measured strips of fondant equal to the circumference of each cake and then layered each strip on top of one another, using clear vanilla as adhesive. The top of each cake is a full circle. The flowers were extras from the florist just placed sporatically... Time consuming I came to find out, as I missed the rehearsal dinner and all other pre-wedding activities! ;)  Note to self - never make a cake for a wedding where I am also the Maid of Honor!!
