This wasn't an easy cake. 1. made dog to big for cake. 2. Dog was supose to sit on the cake. 3. was a learning experience. Cake was more than big enough for what they wanted and were very happy, but in the long run inside I wasn't. It's always a learning curve and I need to scale down a bit. lol. On another note I did take step buy step pics if anyone wants to see how the dog was done.

And Katy was right June i no room for error so unfortunately i had to go a route where im comfortable with carveing. Next time when i get an order with some time i'll attempt doing it in cake.
ty for the nice comments i post the how to pics today.
Agreed!
Either way... cake or rct..... still amazing job
June, I think Berlynda decided to go with rkt in the end as she is more used to working with that than sculpting cake (see her Darth Vadar). No doubt Berlynda will correct me if I'm wrong........
OMG you did an awesome job on that dog. So what if it was suppose to sit on the cake. He looks adorable where he is. You should be thrilled with this. I would not have the guts to even attempt the dog. Kuddos to you
Your dog is amazing Berlynda!!!!! To have put a dog on the cake, I wouldn't know where to start, so kudos to you. And I most definitely agree with Katy think the dog "guarding" the cake looks cool.
Chocolate cake looks scrumpcious! I am assuming the dog is cake.... right Berlynda? You had put out a post on how to carve.
Berlynda I think you did an amazing job. Not an easy thing to do for the first time and I think it's kind of cute having the dog sit next to the cake. Almost like he's guarding it. Cake looks delicious and doggie is fab. Well done!
