Thankyou for your lovely comments on my castle cake, i loved decorating that one as it was for my grandaughters 4th Birthday.
I didnt use any moulds on it... i just made my own templates. and the roof tiles are just cut out hearts put on upside down xxx

Hello Natasha I just got your query about how i make my pastillage. im so sorry i was so busy then anyhow here are the ing. that you need
Pastillage Oscar's Recipe
4 cups powdered sugar 10x
7gms knox gelatine
4 Tablespoons cold water
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 Tablespoon white cane vinegar
starch for dusting.
bloom gelatine in cold water 10 mins
place on a double boiler
add to 2 cups powdered sugar + cream of tartar and add vinegar
use hook attachment but i prefer mine hand mixed
add the remaining sugar until you achieve the right texture. knead the dough well until its pliable. dust with starch once in a while
NOTE: this is a quick dry pastillage recipe you can make a cake stand out of this.
