    thanks heaps for your advice. Are you in the states? Only I am in NZ. I think crisco is vege shortening which we call kremelta here but will have to double check. cheers

    Thats all good. Will try and find it here and if not, I will be back in contact with you. You mentioned a 50/50 mix butter and crisco for butter cream piping, is this the same recipe/ratio you use for buttercream base? (as in ontiiop of cake under fondant).
