    Helen, I have been watching your slide show of cakes, and they are beautiful! Your figures are very well done too. I especially love the purple wedding cake(?). The one with the two rings on it. It is just gorgeous!

    Well you look like a pretty talented caker to me. I took lessons when my children were small. They are now 31 & 28!!
    I dabbled over the years but didn't get back into it until I offered to make my niece's weddin cake 6 yrs ago. I had always been a baker, cakes, pies, cookies, etc.  So I thought, how hard can it be!! Thank goodness I was so new, I didn't realize ALL that could go wrong! I am just a hobby baker, so I don't get to pop as many creations as I would like. But it does give me time to practice. I just retired, been 1 full year. So no way would I have a cake business. I want to keep my caking fun!
