Just bring the supplies that are on your list. They gave us the flower hanging rack, the kit and the older fondant tool set. I recommend getting the new one also. The scissors are dual purpose they cut the floral wires also. But you dont need it there. They also gave us new four inch flower former cups. They will be availiable in the stores soon as well as alot of new products from what one of trainers told me.  they dont use a steamer in training although it is in the book. I used mine to set the colors once i got home. They are gorgeous. Hope you have lots of fun. I teach at Hobby Lobby.

My understanding is they are coming out with even more new stuff. I am not crazy about the sugar sheets personally, but i love anything to do with gumpaste, fondant and buttercream.

Ditto about spending more than i make. I to have a fulltime job. I teach about 6 classes and some private also in addittion to my day job. I think i can be more creative than using those sugar sheets. I dont care for the taste either though.
