I am self taught as well, I have been active duty for 15 years now. My wife is a RN at Kent General here in Dover and we have 7 children, hers mine and ours. About 2 1/2 years ago my kids asked me to make them a cake for their birthday rather than from a store. I then started researching cakes and so forth and started seeing these crazy cakes. I have always had an artistic side but nothing that I thought was worth public view. So that's how it started!  What started with just my kids has turned into a part time weekend business. I'm already booking cakes into January! I did my first wedding in September. Are you licensed?
