Thank you, too, for sharing that you are a cancer survivor. WOW...24 yrs!!! I'm sure you have to know how much it means for someone just a little over a year of being diagnosed & not long out of treatment to hear encouraging survival stories like yours. God bless you & I wish many more years of health for you, joy in your cake decorating, & all other areas of your life.

Awe, thank you so much Betty. I look at your cakes and wish I could make all those beautiful flowers you make. I don't have much call for flowers though. As you can see, most of my cakes are for children, which I love doing, but never seem to require flowers. I saw you live in NC. My son & his family just moved up there recently. When we are able to make a trip up there to see them, will have to swing by and pay you a visit too ;-)

Thank you for that Betty.  It does make sense as that's the end that seems to mess up.  It's almost like the nozzle is blocked, but it isn't.  Thanks again.

lol Betty - I realised you were talking about flowers!  That's very interesting information, thank you.  My outside fridge is full of flowers and nothing else!  I'm going to try that next - might give me a different texture that will work better.  I've always steered clear of shortening as I was concerned about it's effect on flavour.  On to Plan D :)
