Thanks for that tip on your cake - we can now pick each others brains yeh!  I have a download of Lorraines as well - must order some more though.  I watched her doing a demo on the wirral last year - she is soooo fab.  Have you watched Cake Boss yet?  He is fantastic soooooooo huge cakes - well him, Lorraine and Debbie Brown are all meeting in Oz for a convention - love to be a fly on the wall!

Yes I record that as well Ultimate Cake Off - ah see the fella on one of the shows and it fell apart and he cried bless him.  Yes I so enjoy seeing the expressions on peoples faces when they see the cake you have made them - how long have you been decorating cakes for?  I have made so many mistakes but the saying is so true you learn by them! Also I think I am addicted to my local sugarcraft supplier talk about a kid in a sweetshop ha ha x.

 Ha ha Mary that was cruel replaying it back all the time.  I tend not to laugh too much incase it happens to me -you are the same as me defo work hard for the minimum wage.  Sorry I meant to say yes I made the calla lilies myself  - and I coloured it myself I used grape violet paste just adding a bit at a time until the required shade appeared.  I just bought the cutter and actually bought the dvd it was only cheap and watched it as I made them.  If you look carefully though I dont know if it was one or more of the lilies the tips had broken off.  Make extra just to be one the safe side.  Oh it was awful my nerves were shot as it was a girl in works wedding I was shaking like a leaf ha ha - but she was made up with the end result but like you sooooo undercharged her!

Not at all, I'm flattered. That was a show cake I did last year. The painted trees were done with gel color, royal icing and a paintbrush. I kept the trunk and branches flat, but built up the leaves and half of the flowers. The butterflies needed more color and detail. Good luck with it :0) Let me know if you find you have questions.

yes its cool when they ask you to do something diff - , the nx wedding cake is due on the 18th , for pick up , ! i dont deliver , they will be comming from around summerville nj up to pocono pa to pick it up ,its a harley  cake , i only hope they get to the place in good shape ... last one did. the 2nd coreps bride  this past sat , thank you . i started posting funky cakes thats how i got asked ,,,
