Thanks Yvonne. I wish I would have started 20 years ago because I sure have had fun this past couple years. I wish I could do the flowers, I just need to take a class sometime. I like to use real flowers or fruit. Thanks for you kind comments and hope to see more of your work. I just got a call this evening asking if I would do a wedding cake for March. I don't know exactly what they want yet but I am excited for the challenge. Keep you posted.

Hi Sam, thank you for the compliment. I've been doing cake decorating for 25 years as a part time job/hobby. I have now resigned from work and as from today it is my fulltime function. I love cake decorating with a passion. I love your cakes too, your colours are interesting and your and your ideas are great. Keep it up and all the best.

Hi Sam, how are you and how's the banking. I'm currently doing a wedding cake, someone requested a butterflies cake like the one from Debbie Brown. I'm pretty excited to see it.

    Hey Carl,
We live on the North Fork of Long Island, Baiting Hollow, a five minute walk to the sound and right at the beginning of wine country. We're about 80 miles from Manhattan.
No cake yet, although the cake recipe is good. I made Chicken Wings for the beginning of the Jets game on Sunday and Gumbo (again!) but still no completed cake. I will put the recipes for these two delicious dishes on the site for anyone who likes to cook, too.
The Sports (Jets) cake is still on the drawing board and will eventually be completed (with help of course!) Have a great weekend...GO JETS!

Carl..... I am truly a home-baker. I would love to have taken classes on baking/ pastry, but I just love watching shows and online videos and have learned from those resources. I did make my son's wedding cake. I was surprised they asked me to do that; but it turned out well and they were happy... and that is ALL that matters. This is a great way for me to express creativity and I enjoy baking so much. I'm always learning something new. I became informed of "brush embroidery' today. I cannot wait to try it out. I'm going to make a sheet cake next week and may give that technique a try. Thanks for the 'welcome'. Jim B.

    Carl,

I believe based off my name, you've made the assumption that I'm Mormon? I'm not.
